Alvin & Helene Richer Academic Excellence Scholarship

The Alvin & Helene Richer Academic Excellence Scholarship rewards first-year students who have demonstrated drive, motivation, and ambition to excel in high school and impact their communities. Students will be selected by a review committee to receive one (1) one-year scholarship of $3,000 each.


  • Minimum 3.7 cumulative high school GPA
  • Minimum of 27 ACT composite score

Barbara Tanner Scholarship

The Barbara Tanner Scholarship recognizes (4) remarkable Black, African and/or African-American students with an annual award of $15,000, to be used towards tuition and room & board fees.


  • The family’s adjusted gross income (as indicated on the FAFSA) must not exceed $100,000
  • Desired awardees must exhibit excellent leadership ability.
  • Applicants must be actively involved in their school and/or community organizations.
  • Must be a current high school senior, planning to enroll at Westminster College for Fall of 2018.
  • Must agree to stay on-campus while attending Westminster College (fees covered via scholarship)

Eccles Scholarship

The Eccles Scholarship focuses on students’ academic achievement in high school. This scholarship is a 4-year renewable scholarship of $2,500 and priority is given to Utah residents.


  • Recipient of Westminster’s Presidential OR Dean’s Scholarship

Fingl Native American Scholarship

The Fingl Scholarship recognizes Utah Native Americans who are enrolled members of a Utah Indian Tribe. The Fingl Scholarship is an annually renewable scholarship for students.


  • Enrolled member of a Utah Indian Tribe
  • Financial Need, as determined by your FAFSA application

Lufkin-Whitford Aviation Scholarship

Student will be selected by a review committee to receive one (1), one-year scholarship of $1,000.


  • Must be a promising, first-year student and be enrolled at Westminster College with the intent of pursuing a Flight Operations or Aviation Management degree
  • Must be in good academic standing with a GPA of at least 3.0
  • Must be a full-time student

Meldrum First Generation Scholarship

The Meldrum First Generation Scholarship is a 4-year renewable scholarship for first generation college students. A first generation college student is one whose parents did not graduate with a Bachelor’s degree.


  • First Generation Student
  • 3.0 cumulative high school GPA
  • Financial Need, as determined by your FAFSA application
