Veronica hails from Jalisco, México, and has a
bachelor’s in communication from the University of Utah. She was initially drawn
to Westminster’s sense of community—something she still says is one of her
favorite parts of the college.
During her time here, she’s noticed that the key to our community is
Westminster’s emphasis on empowering one another: “When one rises, we all
rise.” Veronica loves that her job allows her to help young adults work
towards and achieve their academic goals—so don’t be afraid to ask for help.
During lunch, you can often find her relaxing by Emigration Creek behind the library,
enjoying the sounds of nature.
"My favorite book is One Hundred Years of Solitude
by Gabriel Garcia Marquez. My favorite food is Mexican food: tacos, tamales, enchiladas,
pozole, chilaquiles… you name it, I most likely like it! My favorite movie is Mean
Girls, and yes, Aaron Samuels’s hair looks sexy pushed back."
Veronica counsels students from the following states:
Arizona, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri,
Nebraska, Oklahoma, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, New Mexico, North Dakota, South
