Frequently Asked Questions

Who should apply?

The program has been specifically designed for adults who have:

  • At least 6 years of work experience (paid, military, and/or volunteer)
  • An associate degree (A.A. or A.S.) earned at an accredited two-year or four-year college or university; students who are working towards completion of their associate degree may also be concurrently enrolled in the PBBA program.

How will this program help me professionally?

You will augment your credentials with a professional bachelor's degree in business administration from Westminster, a nationally ranked and highly respected college. You will also have an ePortfolio that clearly demonstrates to prospective employers the kind of work you have accomplished, the skills mastered and the strengths you will bring to their companies.

When does the program start?

New groups enter the program every four months throughout the year: in August, January, and May.

Is this a completely online program?

The program has been designed to take the maximum advantage of online technology and the majority of the program can be completed online. However, each project also incorporates a two-day, on-campus residency giving you the best of both worlds: high tech and high touch!

How long does the program take?

Since the program is self-paced, completion time can vary. A student who is working full-time could complete the program in 12-18 months, but the time frame could be longer or shorter, depending on individual experience and life commitments.

How much does it cost?

Highest quality, affordable price. We've priced the Professional Bachelor of Business Administration with you in mind. The comprehensive cost of the program, including tuition and all fees, is $25,000 or $5,000 per project, approximately half the cost of Westminster's traditional degree programs.

Is financial aid available?

Need-based federal financial aid is available and will be awarded on an individual basis to students who have filed the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and who have demonstrated financial need. Some federal financial aid programs require students to maintain the equivalent of full- or part-time enrollment. Contact Westminster's Financial Aid Office for full details about federal requirements.

How does this program compare to traditional programs?

  • Traditional programs:
All students, regardless of experience, take the same courses. You complete a standardized set of stand-alone classes, on campus or online, and demonstrate your mastery of the material by receiving passing grades on tests. You fit your life around courses and test times.
  • Westminster PBBA program:
Our program recognizes that you've learned things through your work and life experiences and allows you to concentrate your time on the business skills you haven't yet mastered. Our hands-on, project-based format allows you to apply what you've learned in a series of projects that demonstrate what you can do with what you know. The PBBA program also fits into your busy life.
