How to Access Library Resources:
The Giovale Library offers a wide variety of library resources available for your use, including many online resources you can access from home.
To get started exploring the Library, try taking our virtual tour. That will give you an idea of where things are in the Library, such as the Writing Center and the General Computing Lab, and give you an overview of some of the services we offer.
When your ready to start your research, we have this online research guide for Nursing that directs you straight to the books, databases, and web sites that will be most helpful to you.
So how do you find a book, use a database, or get a copy of a journal article that we don't own?
Easy! The Library has a How Do I? page with instructions on how to reserve a study room, access your Westminster network drive from off campus, renew books and videos online, and more.
The How Do I? page also links you to online demos that show you how to search for books, search for journal articles, get a copy of the article you need, use electronic books, use keywords, use boolean operators, and more.
The National Library of Medicine provides its own online tutorials for PubMed and its other products. http://www.nlm.nih.gov/bsd/disted/pubmed.html
