Books will provide: in depth treatment of a topic extensive bibliography

Use: the Giovale Library Catalog to locate items for your topic.

Use the Library of Congress Subject Headings to find items on marketing, selling and advertising. The books containing the Subject Headings, often referred to as the Red Books are located across from the circulation desk.

Here are some suggested Broad Terms:

• Green Marketing (deals with environmental aspects of marketing)
• Marketing management
• Marketing channels
• Marketing research
• Selling HF5483 - HF5439 (Here are entered works on the technique of selling)
• Advertising HF5801 - HF6182

In the Giovale Library Catalog: Use the Basic Search page selecting Subject Alphabetical List from the pulldown box. Enter one of the above listed Subject Headings in the search box.

You can also search the library catalog using YOUR OWN word(s). This is called a Keyword Search!

In the Giovale Library Catalog: Use the Advanced Search page selecting General Keyword from the pulldown box. Enter your own search term in the search box. For example:

Within the retrieved record(s) look under the field Subjects for the correct Subject Heading:

Click on Marketing -- Planning to retrieve the items available in Giovale Library on that subject.
