Westminster's School of Education PT3 Grant

Westminster's School of Education applied for and received a Capacity Building grant from the PT3 Organization (Preparing Tomorrow's Teachers to Use Technology) in 1999; the purpose of the grant was to partner Westminster with Bryant Intermediate School in Salt Lake City, Utah to advance Bryant's use of technology in the focus areas of mathematics and science.

The Capacity Building grant's success led Westminster to apply for and receive a second Implementation grant from the PT3 organization in 2000; the Implementation Grant partnered Westminster with four other local schools and focused on developing and implementing an instructional model to provide preservice teachers with opportunities to integrate educational technology into all content areas during their teacher preparation program and first year of teaching.
